PICCOLO 5 /ELEMENT 8

The PICCOLO and ELEMENT are members of TALGIL'S veteran products family, the ABSOLUTE family. With many years of proven actual field experience, these controllers have demonstrated great stamina and reliability. They contain all the necessary features for professional irrigation, have a fixed number of outputs and exist in either DC or AC versions.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • AC and DC models available
  • Concurrent irrigation of multiply valves – possibility to open several valves concurrently even when connected to a common water meter with differential quota and accumulation per valve.
  • Power consumption – the extremely low power consumption of the DC models allows energizing from a dry battery for a whole year.
  • Flexibility – the units can be adapted to various sites thanks to the flexibility in the definition of the number of water meters, irrigation stations and flushing stations.
  • Battery level display – there is a built in digital battery tester.
  • Man machine interface – effectively organized screens displaying designed versus actual data.

GENERAL FEATURES
  • Reading up to 4 water meters, fertilizer meter, differential and regular pressurestat.
  • Up to 5 outputs in the PICCOLO and up to 8 outputs in the ELEMENT.
  • Main valve can be programmed to open before, after or simultaneously with the irrigation stations.
  • All data is preserved during power failure.

IRRIGATION

  • Irrigation program – individual irrigation program for each valve, program changes can be introduced that are either permanent or effective for the next activation only.
  • Water quota – volume and / or time based irrigation.
  • Conventional units – quota of water and fertilizer is expressed in cubic meters or liters. The computer takes into account the meter's ratio.
  • Sequential irrigation – stations can be irrigated sequentially.
  • Pulse irrigation – irrigation in short intervals several times a day.

FERTIGATION

  • Fertilization quota – volume or time based or proportional.
  • Fertilizing in 3 stages – pre-watering, fertilization and post watering.

FILTER FLUSHING

  • Backflushing can be triggered by elapsed time or pressure differential.

SATELLITE OUTPUTS

  • Outputs that can be combined with other stations to work simultaneously.

PROTECTION MECHANISMS

  • High flow and low flow control for each valve.
  • Uncontrolled flow detection for water and fertilizer.
  • Low pressure control.
  • Low battery.
  • Power down.
  • Short-circuited solenoids.
